Oct 18th – First task was to drive up to Oshkosh to pick up the plans and boxes that comprise the “Tail Kit”. Once at home, everything was carefully unpacked and inventoried ready for the construction to start.
- Not sure Beau is too impressed!
Nov 6th – I already had a lot of the tools required to build an Aluminum aircraft, however, there were some I did have to buy and some that make life a little easier. I also built a couple of sturdy work benches according to plans available from EAA.
I’m sure there will be opportunity to add tools later on and I will record them here when I do.
- Arbor Press for bending thicker metal parts.
- Air Rivet Gun.
- Air Drill and Flexible Snake Drive.
- Snips. Benders and Deburring tools.
- Various sized clecos.
- The first of two standard EAA workbenches
